Very self serving, brilliant price for the second night ,Bathroom could do with an upgrade, mould growing on tiles and spare bed could be a little bit better .Please make sure dead fish is removed straightaway from the pond as it will poison the fish that is in there alive .Thank you

This was a nice clean and comfortable place to stay . The room had everything we required in it . I would describe this establishment as a b and b rather than a hotel . I would recommend staying here .

The room is very small- but this was correctly described. Much more important: the room and also the common used bathroom are very clean. Thanks for this!The receptionist is very friendly and helpful.

Not sure which booking this is . .we had a few ( 3 x familes of 3 ,parents and teenager, plus 1 grandma and one of older couple )for same property at same time for a wedding, so will do this review for all 3.So welcoming!! , perfect position for us who were 4 families attending a wedding in Pembury Church. Note they do not do stag or hen parties which is nice as it's also quite .Clean rooms, bathrooms etc. Very homely communal areas for breakfast and a very good cooked is available to pre order as an extra and ample parking on site at a very reasonablerate or plenty free parking on the road .Seating outside where we could gather and chat. Tea and coffee always refilled . Requests for ground floor rooms, for those who were unable to manage stairs were accommodated at the last minute ( when we discovered people were not as able as the last time we saw them ) In fact the accommodation was labelled" The Mansion " by the families visiting from abroad and staying there was almost as big a highlight as the wedding ( some had not seen each other for 10 years) being able to sit outside in the sunshine with coffee was a huge success for them.Staff were VERY welcoming and helpful. We can not thank them enough

We only needed to stay one night, everything was fine. Not luxurious but perfectly adequate for what we needed.

Just spent a few minutes in the above slot saying how nice the place was with well decorated and clean roooms with a nearby kitchenette , not certain if this was for general use as only stayed for 1 night. I think this would be ideal for a longer stay. There was adequate central heating at preset times and DG windows. Overall a pleasant stay

Quiet and nice place . Cheap price and is here everything what you need. Just the door and floor can be cleaned better( almost in bathroom) really nice personel enough space in bedroom. Lovely gardens.

I enjoyed a comfortable stay in a nice clean room, with bath water at a decent temperature. I would visit again. Please be aware though, that a cooked breakfast is not provided, although the proprieter did offer cerials etc.

The Staff was very kind.

Got there on Friday. Was happy with the room I was given. All that I needed was about, fish and chip shop up road 2min.walk .was quite and left alone. As partner had passed away. So need space. Very happy. Will go back again.

It’s been a great stay.. never thought we would feel so close to home.. the hospitality and the environment never made us feel we are in different country and varied culture.. starting from owners whom we never met (but had conversations in phone calls) and specially Vinod ji made our stay muh simplified and warming!!We were new to this country and place.. Vinod ji guided us in every way and at his best to make us feel safe and secure… Never imagined that so much of care and guidance would be provided.. The ladies in charg are very nice, the price is correct and the bedroom was very clean and confortable. This our second visit, both times we have arrived past midnight and found the hotel open well litand with everything ready. The room was clean, beds comfortable and the water for showers hot. You could pay a lot more and do much worse.

What a lovely friendly and clean place to stay. All rooms have use of the kitchen and accessories. There’s a table where you can eat as well.Filtered water available in kitchen.Nice outdoor space and extremely good value

Anand Loge is a well presented and clean hotel with lovely staff who are very helpful. The property is extremely well maintained and a lot of care has gone into the upkeep. Highly recommended.

Friendly and helpful owners and staff, we booked direct as we wanted to be sure that two dogs could be accommodated. Owners obligingly arranged ground floor room close to entrance to make life easy for us. Happy to pay a surcharged for each dog to cover deep cleaning of the room after our stay. Room and facilities suited our needs for a single night stay. Excellent for our requirements.

A nice place to stop by for a couple of nights !

I stayed for 3 days, in Feb 2023.Staff were very helpful and pleasant, albeit all communications were made on a telephone. The room was lovely; clean, super-confortable bed, en-suite shower and a Smart TV. Parking was also included. Based on my experience, I would be happy to recommennd Anand Lodge. :-) Thank-you!

I stayed at Anand lodge with my wife on the 9th December and unfortunately I accidentally booked for the next day not knowing I made an error. However they were very accomodating and managed to put us up for the night. Although the room was very cold when we arrived due to the weather we were able to get the heaters on and warmed up after not to long. Would definitely stay again if I was In the area.

Able to book in at short notice for a one night stay.The room gave me what I needed - it was warm, clean, free WiFi and tea/coffee. Hanging space was very limited - room for four or five coat hangers.I was staying in the room by myself - if I'd had a companion and luggage then I think we'd have struggled for space.The en suite was very small but well stocked.I won't say that my stay was particularly quiet - I could clearly hear the guests in the room next to me.For one night this was absolutely fine but it would have been a problem if I'd stayed longer. Ear plugs are provided though. I didn't see any staff - checking in and out is done by phone.The staff I did speak to were polite and clearly wanted me to enjoy my stay.

The room was small ( the description as a double is pushing it! ) but fine for me as I was travelling alone, and spotlessly clean and the on suite facilities appeared new. The bed was firm but comfortable. I did not have food on site but there is a nearby pub a short walk away which serves hearty food and a selection of local ales. There is parking if required. For travellers on a budget this is the best deal in Pembury and I would stay here again should the need arise.

The house is probably not perfectly designed for a bed and breakfast set up but we honestly have never stayed anywhere where the host family were this nice, kind and accommodating. They really couldn't do enough for us. The room was comfortable without being super glamorous. If you are looking for a lovely stay with a lovely family in a slightly chaotic environment(!) at a great price this really couldnt be topped as a short stay location.

From the moment of our arrival we were made very welcome. We arrived mid morning beforewe could gain access to our room, but Janethe receptionistwas very friendly and professional. I only needed a few hours stay during the day, which proves tricky on the internet (because I needed an early morning check in and an afternoon check out - it’s normally the opposite at hotels - my fear was having to book two nights whereas I didn’t even need one!).I called the hotel and the receptionist was very helpful, allowed me to book for the hours I needed and gave me the same price I saw on the website. I highly appreciate that! For that I give you five stars :)

we found your place to be very very friendly !! and we enjoyed our stay in a very comfortable bed ! we were also upgraded to an ensuite which was also very kind of the sweet manageress...it was room no.2 inside the property and the only niggle would be...is to do something about the lights outside the window !! they could have lit up wembley stadium and stayed on all night !! other than that...lovely place and look forward to staying there again 👍

Our stay at Anand Lodge met all our requirements for our stay. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff were very helpful throughout. The Lodge is well positioned for our need to be close to TWells and there is ample parking adjacent to the Lodge.

I stayed in a double room (access into the bed from one side), with a small separate WC and sink room in the corner, and a shower cubicle in the corner of the room.Everything was clean, even if a bit outdated.The bed was firm and comfy. The only problem was that the walls were paper thin and the people in the room next door kept me awake until 3am.I soon realised why I had been provided with the earplugs by the kettle!Although I was aware that I could call reception at any time, I did not want to disturb them at this time of the early morning.When I was told the next day that they had 2 large empty rooms that I could have been moved to if I had asked, I wished I had called them - but I did wonder why I had not been allocated one of these in the 1st place, away from other guests as anyone who works here would know about the thin walls.Staff were friendly but I wish I had stayed elsewhere as I would have liked more than 3 hours sleep - if you are staying here check any adjoining rooms are empty before you unpack!

Comfortable and 20 minute walk from Pembury Hospital where we were visiting a relative.The hotel had a nice garden,terrace and koi pond.Only complaint was the room doors have access codes instead of swipe cards.Had to call a member of staff as left glasses in our room and couldn’t see to get in!!

Hotel Room small but spotlessly clean. Great view of the sunrise every morning .Bed comfortable. Bathroom shower functioned .Staff friendly and helpful. Reception manned by phone off putting but worked well in current climate. After booking and reading reviews were concerned with noise ear plugs were provided. Very clean and basic room. The female staff member (running the lodge) was amazing. Very polite, helpful and friendly. We travelled from Durham for a wedding and she was extremely helpful with organising a taxi, checking in early and giving advice on food options. I have stayed at Anand lodge on many occasions and it’s one of those places I feel like I’m checking into my home. Although I have never actually met the management at this lodge, their virtual welcome makes me feel safe. They have good communication skills, they listen to guest and act promptly all he time if anything needs sorting out, no task is too big for them to solve. Besides all this, Anand lodge is situated in a good area to save the community especially the health care professionals with accommodation. It’s very well kept and only 4 minutes drive to Tunbridge wells hospital which makes it the best accommodation for even students on placements. I highly recommend to anybody who is looking to have a hustle free stay with parking just outside in the same premises.

The stuff treats guests with respect, rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and above all, in my opinion necessary measures in maintaining infection control are being met here. Everything was spotless and I feel reassured by the measures they have in place for COVID management. Indeed, their arrivals process and system meant that we did not even have to be face-to-face with anyone else, which although not the (old) normal style of arrival, it worked very effectively and felt safe.I was delighted to find a place to stay that could also accommodate our dog - thank you!

I’m not sure why this place has had so many bad reviews. I went with my 3 children (7,9,10) and stayed for 2 nights in room 10. There was a queen bed, a sofa bed and they also provided a futon which we didn’t need in the end. The service was very good. The place was clean. It’s easily a 3 star hotel, and for the price i think it should be receiving better reviews. Definitely family friendly.

We were welcomed warmly as we returned to this wonderful hotel.The garden looked amazing-so well kept and we spent a lot of time in it as it was such a hot weekend. We wined and dined on the terrace in the evening, getting our food in a local takeaway-only a few minutes away. We had our breakfast outside as well. This hotel is great as it has a kitchen as well where you can prepare food. Our room as usual was spotless and very well laid out with a large TV, wardrobe, king size bed and good power shower in the en-suite bathroom. Great accommodation in a superb location. The remote check in and sanitiser at every turn is greatly appreciated. Take a walk in Dunorlan Park just half a mile away. The communal kitchen with microwave and ice machine and fridge is superbly clean. Sonia will do your washing for £5 and make sure you tip her.Comfy - no fuss - easy parking - free WiFi and great location. Nice garden and terrace is also a bonus

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room very clean and reasonably sized. Beds are a small double. I couldn’t sleep on the mattress but my partner found it very comfortable. Parking available and the use of a kitchen was a really useful touch. Only negative really was TV had to be retuned every time it was turned off but not a big deal.

We stayed for 3 nights at Anand Lodge. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely furnishings-we particularly liked the red decorative duvet cover. The bathroom was big and had a good sized bath. During our stay we were able to use the communal kitchen which was really handy for preparing our breakfast in the morning. We also made use of the microwave to prepare our evening meals. The facilities were excellent and there was a very pretty garden with tables and chairs. We were welcomed and treated with upmost politeness and kindness and I would come back here and also recommend the Lodge highly to friends. Many thanks.

Stayed here for a second time and it didn't disappoint. The owner was happy to rearrange my room at no extra cost as I had booked myself into the wrong room in error wanting my own bathroom. The room was lovely, so clean, again everything I needed was there. Bath was just what was needed after a hard days work and it was a nice deep bath to soak in. Such a peaceful stay that in the morning I could hear the birds chirping outside which was lovely as I didn't want to get out of bed it was so comfy.

Fantastic accommodation, definitely value for money, can't fault it at all.They literally thought of everything you need, and anticipated things I didn't even think I needed. Arrived to be offered snacks, there was filtered water, ear plugs if needed, hot chocolate, very comfortable bed and lovely long bath. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen area had a lot of things available to use, so it was like a bit of self catering too. It was a nice peaceful, comfortable, home from home.

The location is convenient for public transport. The room was fairly cosy and the bed was very comfortable. Ear plugs were provided but there was no need to use them because there was no excessive noise. Full English breakfast was reasonably priced, well presented and enjoyable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. When checking out, the offer of complimentary bottles of water, sandwiches, cake and fresh fruit was very kind.

I stayed at the Anand for 9 nights over the Christmas period and I have to say, I can not recommend this place highly enough. We were greeted with a warm welcome and throughout our stay Jane and her family bent over backwards to ensure all our needs were met and that we were happy and comfortable. Having use of a kitchen made all the difference on a longer stay and the filtered water and complimentary cakes were much appreciated. We will be returning.

I have given this guest house 5 stars for the following reasons:1. The staff here are very friendly and accommodating.2. It is not your sterile run of the mill hotel.3. What it lacks in modernity it more than makes up with a certain charm.We really just wanted somewhere quick over night and got this very last minute. Please don’t expect the Ritz here. It is an old converted house and if you want breakfast - we had full English- you are taken to a small dining room in an annex. There it’s a bit like grandma’s front room with two dining tables. All very quirky and charming. The breakfast is cooked for you in the adjacent kitchen and it was very nice indeed.Our room had a tiny en-suit, accessible by a folding door. I assume the shower is electric as there is not the pressure you may get from mains water but it was perfectly adequate. The room had a beautiful bead spread and matching pillows, there is a small wardrobe, tea and coffee making facilities, a nice sized TV, usb sockets for your phones and free WiFi. It was very quit at night and the bed was very comfortable. It was also open very late at night, which we appreciated, as we had been to a late night party.If you want the bidet, a grand spa bath, a PC station, a two heads power shower, a bar and a porter, well, you’ll be out of luck.It’s a little like maybe staying at your auntie’s but we loved this cosy little place.

Staff were very welcoming and accommodating from the moment we arrived until we left. We also received regular correspondence in the run up to our stay making sure everything was in place.Room and bathroom were perfectly acceptable for the price, and were clean. The decor and features were a little dated but not out of place in this price range.I read a number of negative reviews before arrival but did not have any issue at all with our one night stay.This is ultimately a lodge rather than a hotel and it delivered on this. I would certainly stay again if I had to stop overnight in Pembury but I wouldn’t choose it for a holiday destination.

We brought some orange juice for breakfast and they remembered the next day & put glasses out. We also preferred mugs of tea & again,they noticed & remembered.For the price this is an excellent B&B.It seems to have been decorated recently as everything is bright & airy & in excellent condition.Parking spaces are large & there are a couple of tables overlooking the garden where it is pleasant to sit.The location is good for touring the many local castles,gardens,houses etc.Brighton is also easily reached from here.The rooms are small with no wardrobe or drawer space but if you know this,as we did,& take a few coat hangers I don’t think you'd be disappointed staying here.Lots of sockets in the rooms too!👍 A very relaxing stay thankyou.

Really friendly welcome even though I was arriving late, comfortable room and bed. The shower was really good, not the average pathetic stream. Full English Breakfast cooked again by friendly host. I will use again.

I would like to thank you for such a pleasant stay at the lodge over the Bank Holiday weekend. I was doing a course at Bewl Water and my wife to looking about, was nice to meet up in the evening where we could unwind from the day. Service was great love the intercom and the food was spot on each morning.Definitely will look to stay again when next down that way.

we booked here for our mothers birthday treat. the room was perfect, beautiful room, set up with lovely finishing touches. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff who made everything so easy. will definitely be booking again. thank you for a lovely stay

Lovely B and B.Tbe staff were very friendly made a massive fuss of the dogs.Breakfast was spot on.Was.just a shame the people in the room above us were very noisy early hours of the morning both nights we stayed.

Have been using Anand Lodge for a few months as have been working away from home.Excellent staff and always extremely helpful with last minute bookings/change of bookings, even if 6pm we needed extra room.Always happy to accommodate our needs.Guests have a good nights sleep and the breakfast is most welcome.The staff have helped with early breakfasts if our work is out of hours.Would recommend Anand Lodge certainly if you are in need of accommodation for key workers staying in the area.

We only stayed one night, as we were going to a wedding near by. We didn’t spend much time at the hotelBut check in wax easy and quick, and the room was clean and comfortable. We didn’t see any staff, but that didn’t matter. Nice, comfortable stay. Would go back

I needed a hotel close to were I was working and the AnandLodge came up as the nearest and the cheapest by far. The room was perfect for my needs and the on site parking and free WiFi where a real bonus so much so I booked for the whole week !

Wonderful place and lovely helpsom smiling service from all employees. The breakfast is the best english you can get. The student helpers working there this summer are nice and polite.

My 10 yo son, my wife and me stayed at Anand Lodge a couple of nights ago. We arrived late in the evening and without a reservation. In 10 minutes, our room was ready, breakfast arrangements for the morning werr done and we had a good night sleep to continue our journey. When we are back in the area we will stay there again. Thanks to the helpful staff

I have been staying at the "lodge" for 2 weeks now and can't fault it . OK its not honeymoon suite type hotelling , just normal rooms with everything that you need there . If you want to pay £89_£95 per room , stop at premier or Travelodge , me , I'm happy with £50 for a clean , comfortable room ,

This hotel is under new management and provided my niece and I with the perfect place to stay while we worked at Penshurst Place.We had a room with ensuite shower and the most wonderful breakfast each day. The young couple running it are friendly and helpful and we will stay there again if we are in this area.

The staff there are wonderful and very friendly.They always accommodate my needs which is usually at the last minute.Really enjoyed my stay and as a budget hotel it meets my needs.Loved hearing the fountain at the back.

Jane's hospitality was exceptional before during and after my stay. She ensured me that everything would be ready by the time of arrival and was a phone call if i needed assistance. The hotel staff were respectful & courteous, I'll definetly come back to stay there again.
