Nice village, cheap room

This guest house is very cheap, which is why I chose it. I paid £25 for some of the nights and £15 for other nights. Therefore I would stay there again if I needed to be in the area, as it is the cheapest available accommodation.

Basic, clean accomodation and I even got called “Sir”!!!

I needed a place to stay over whilst visiting my folks near tunbridge wells but things are tight and I was looking for the cheapest place possible!
Anand Lodge was certainly that! And yes, the place is very much in need of a face lift with decor in the hall ways and stairs particularly suspect. But I was warmly greeted and shown to a very clean and respectable double en suite room. Power Shower, Widescreen TV and extremely comfortable bed? Yes and all for £25!

Good value for money

I found this place to be very good and clean.
The price we paid was very good.
The funiture was a little dated but for the price we paid who could ask for more.
Bed and toilet, and shower was very clean.

I was greeted by very friendly and helpful staff, my room was clean and comfortable.

I think what best sums up my experience is that although travelling alone, I felt welcomed at Anand Lodge and would stay again.

Good value accommodation and friendly service

The lodge is more like a guest house than a hotel and the decor is basic but my room was spacious and I had a nice double bed and plenty of space for storage. There was an en-suite bathroom but the shower was upstairs. The hotel suited my needs for a budget room for a one night stay.

The facilities are basic but clean. The staff were very friendly. At 25 pounds a night this is definitely good value for money.

Like many buildings in this delightful town, The Barn is interesting. Erected in traditional Kentish style with lots of oak beams and columns throughout and great character. The element of barn life is themed throughout the premises with artefacts and other decorated elements. In addition there is an award winning garden and terrace in which to eat and drink.

The main bar, like the Restaurant, has a great atmosphere with wooden beams, hops and original rustic tables and chairs. Log fires in the winter, and air conditioned in the summer, to add to the attractions of this lovely pub area. In addition there is a large conservatory which links the garden with the bar, which adds an alternative area for customers to enjoy a drink or snack.
